Scarlet Meidiland

 

‘Scarlet Meidiland’ is a landscape shrub that offers a brilliant red blaze of bloom in flushes.  Growth is 3′ to 6′ with a width of 6′.  It seems ideally suited to planting along a fence where it can arch and spread. It is frequently planted as ground cover where its tendency to throw up canes that want to grow up a bit and arch is not an issue.  Blooms are 1.5″ in clusters, often in graceful cascading sprays, which is why it is sometimes grown to cascade from a pot.  Z5.
