Description

Zone 2b. Hybrid Rugosa. Bred by Dr. Felicitas Svejda, 1966. Introduced by Agriculture Canada, Ottawa, Ontario (Central Experimental Farm), 1979 as a rose in their Explorer Series Collection.

Very disease resistant, very hardy, repeat flowering, clove fragrance. Red hips, often present at the same time as the 3″ snow white, loosely double blooms on a 2′-4′ X 2′-4′ mounding plant.  Beautiful foliage, autumn color. A gem. May be an excellent choice for ground cover, planted on 2′ centers in colder locations where the plant stays low (2′).  I would like to learn more, from our customers, about the garden performance of this plant in the North.
