Description
I am a huge fan of the Damasks, with their special fragrance, and of this rose in particular. I have been told that this rose and two other Damasks, Kazanlik and Ispahan, are among the roses widely grown in the fields of Bulgaria where attar of rose is distilled. The fragrance does seem to increase as the petals dry, so I would think it excellent in potpourri as well. I love the slight irregularity of the petals which add a certain windblown quality. It blooms long and profusely on a healthy, modest size plant.
