Description
Only the Noisette Class of roses originated in America and this is the first rose of that class discovered in Charleston, South Carolina in 1802 on the rice plantation of John Champney. This is a lovely, vigorous rose bearing clusters of palest pink, fluffy blossoms that can be grown as a climber with support, or held, with pruning, as a large upright shrub. Rebloom is nearly continuous and the fragrance is supurb.
Introduced in 1811.
