Description
Many people have sentimental attachments to Cecile Brunner. Often folks are only familiar with the gigantic, one time blooming climber. However there are several other forms. This version of Cecile Brunner makes a large (6′ +) bush and does repeat its bloom all summer in long airy open panicles or “sprays”. Long slender buds open to perfect small fowers that are deeper pink at the centers. See the polyantha, Rita Sammons, for a very similar rose that, in my opinion, is superior to Cecile Brunner. We also have White Cecile Brunner and will soon add the climbing forms of Cecile Brunner to our list.
Introduced in 1920.
