Description
Buff Beauty and, indeed, most of the Hybrid Musks, have that quality the Japanese call shibue. Their blooms, even when showy, manage to convey a subtlety that blends well with other plants in the garden. Buff Beauty’s blooms, depending on the weather, show tones of buff, yellow apricot, soft orange, and honey, and are borne in loose, graceful clusters. The color is best with some protection from intense afternoon sun. The autumn flowering is particularly lovely continuing into early winter, climate permitting.
Introduced in 1939.
