Description
This is an intensely fragrant rose of purest white and silky petals that spoil easily in rain. It is an extremely useful shrub in cold climates. Like all rugosas it is not digested well by deer who avoid it. It sets few hips. Some now think it to be a double sport of R. rugosa alba.
Introduced in 1892.
