American Pillar

Description

This is an extremely vigorous rose capable of attaining considerable size. It blooms in clusters late in the season and produces a handsome crop of bright red hips which persist during the fall when the leaves change color to purple. The cherry red clusters with their white eye recalls calico quilt patterns which is, perhaps, the inspiration for the name. This is a rose that is very hardy and easy to grow in difficult situations.
