Description
A rare thornless Boursalt rambler, very early blooming with an extended bloom period of about two months during which it continues to produce buds. Flowers have a white stripe or two with a pale reverse and open a deep purply crimson that take on lilac hues as they age. The apple green foliage with its distinct pointed leaflets, crimson canes with crimson stipules add up to a rose lovely enough to be grown for its foliage interest alone. This is an elegant plant that I appreciate more each year. Our photos have not captured the depth of color or the loveliness of the plant. We will keep trying!
