Description
Pale salmon pink blooms with a deeper coppery pink reverse waft their perfume on a plant with typical glossy Wichurana Rambler foliage. Though pliable, the canes are sturdy giving the gardener the choice of growing it against a fence or wall or allowing it to grow, with staking, into a tall, sturdy upright shrub. Albertine can be seen on cottage walls in countless English gardening books. Despite its wicked thorns, Albertine deserves its great popularity around the world. This is a memorable rose in so many ways. It blooms for a long period with occasional bloom here or there later in the season.
Introduced in 1921.
